Outgoing Bard in 2003 - Mark Lindsey Earley - is now a resident of South Devon, where he intends to revive and restore another ancient Bardic seat known traditionally as 'Caer Wyse'.

All the supposedly ancient bardic seats in English cities are associated with a particular location, usually a natural or man-made hill, tump or mound. In fact the word Gorsedd (pronounced Gor-seth) which refers to a group or gathering of bards literally means "high seat".

The location in Exeter is Rougemont, a mount crowned by the ruins of a Norman castle (and a crown courtroom). It's also the location of some of the very last trials and executions.

Anyone interested in supporting this venture, forming a Gorsedd of Caer Wyse, or getting involved in any way can phone Mark. See number below.
